HORDEN C.W. A.F.C. 0
Whickham 3

A lacklustre performance from Horden off the back of a good start to the season. We never looked comfortable anywhere from the off and were punished for our mistakes and naivity by a hard working team. Roy Allen and Craig Ellis both having shots saved in the first 15mins and then Ross Galley heading backwards to force a save from Winter. Roy Allen flicked on for Kevin Duggan to shoot wide then on 17 mins Whickham opened their account with a ricochet off the keeper. 0-1 On 32 mins, quick feet from Chicone Egbe saw Stephens long shot whistle wide and then a Guttridge free kick forced a save from the Whickham keeper.

In the 56th min Stephenson worked hard to stumble through but could not finish and good work from Sean Joseph on 63mins saw the ball blare across the front of the goal, only needing a touch to find the net. After a foul in the 67th min Whickham won a free kick which they floated into the box Kevin Hay the finisher, he then took his second and Whickhams' third on 75 mins. That really put pay to the game, but much to consider for Saturday after this performance.
