At one time Horden were fourth from bottom and looking favourites for relegation. Simon Corbett took over as manager and after a brief settling in period results started to improve. A few extra players were brought in and they eventually started to climb the league table. Following a spell when Horden went 13 games without defeat the team finished fifth from top.
