At the end of the 2010-11 season the Supporters Team, managed by Michael Eggleston, had experienced great difficulty fielding a team in order to fulfill their league commitments.

During that period the Horden Under 21s managed by Bobby Bowes, were to leave the Russell Foster group. Many years earlier Bobby had literally combed the streets of the village looking for players to enter the Under 15 league. Most of the players he recruited were still with him eight years later. They had enjoyed great success, winning the League and one memorable Cup final in which they were 1-4 down at half time but went on to win the game 5-4

Some of the Supporters team suggested that the two teams should merge. Bobby would manage the team and Michael would attend to all the administration.

The new team played in the 1st Division of the Peterlee & District Sunday League and achieved promotion to the Premier Division at their first attempt.
